The Mendelssohn Project is a collective name representing two separate non-profit foundations, founded by Stephen Somary. The Mendelssohn Project, Inc. is located in New York City, NY, USA, and The Mendelssohn Project, e.V. is located in Stuttgart, Germany.
The two companies have separate Board of Directors, although there is some carryover in membership between the two in order to ensure a single mission, and to facilitate a seamless coordination of activities.
Both organizations have fully tax-deductible status for donors within the country of each foundation, as permitted by local laws.
